BVM (USN) held workshop on Art of Parenting
                                                ……….Bridging the gap
Accepting the challenge to abridge the widening gap between the adolescents and their parents, BVM (USN) shouldered the responsibility to sensitize parents as well as children through an enlightening workshop, “Art of Parenting” which was conducted today in the school auditorium. In the materialistic world, the explosion of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) has adversely impacted the moral values as well as the very existence of the family, leading to extreme aggressiveness among adolescents. Eminent experts delved deep on these vital issues. In the first part of the workshop which was attended by students of class IX to XII Mrs. Rachna Jain (Pediatric Psychologist CMC) focused on adverse impact of ICT on adolescents through Power Point Presentation in which students actively participated. The second part of the interactive session was conducted for parents in the evening which was attended by approx. 400 parents. Dr. Deepika Vig (Deptt. of Human Development PAU) delved upon the subject ‘Management of emotional needs of Adolescents’. Mrs. Rachna Jain (Pediatric Psychologist CMC) highlighted ‘the Parental Sensitization regarding Impact of ICT on Adolescents’ and Mrs. Anupama Kumbkarni (Counselor) elaborated the subject ‘Rising Aggressiveness in the Adolescents, reasons and remedies’. The whole interactive session revolved around equipping the parents to develop a congenial relationship with their adolescents, built upon trust and understanding to meet the changing demands and challenges of their wards. Sh. P.C.Goyal ji (Secretary BVM Trust), Sh. Manoj Gupta ji (Manager, BVM Trust) and the other worthy members of BVM Trust appreciated the opinions and suggestions of the experts and applauded the valuable contribution made by the Principal, parents and teachers for organizing this productive interaction.
